All About Justin... Am. CH. Skylocke's Just In A Minute!! Justin or "wiener" as we use to call him; came from a Breeder and her husband in Toledo, Washington. Although I want to say more the Breeder than her husband, as the breeder was the one whom we dealt with and well frankly who started all of this craziness. But that is what my Contract says from the Breeder so that's what we'll go by to keep all FACTS straight. So where to start; I will first inform you that, the Breeder, has a webpage up about me, it doesn't mention my name per-say, but since we did show Justin in AKC conformation, anyone who's anyone in the dog world, knew we OWNED him and they co-owned him, for a short time. So if you would like to read her page as well and haven't already done so, then I will direct you to "Justin's Past".

Located in Northeast Ohio Located in Northeast Ohio Ok, so I sat down to write out the details of what happened and well to say the least, it turned into a small book. So once I "proof read" it I will be adding it as a DOC. file, for anyone who wants to take the time to read it and view all the documentation that comes with it. So for now I will just go over The Breeders web page about Justin's time with us and answer her accusations and show more proof in pictures. The rest will be added to the entire "Justin file". Thanks for taking the time to read my side and make an educated decision on what really happen with Justin. So without prolonging this any longer, I get into it… I'll be posting my reply in a separate color so that when reading this, it can be determined easily where my comments are… The Breeder writes … "We will be EXCLUDING most of the horrid details involving the 8 months' time period from mid April 2007 - till late December 2007 -**horrid details? Nothing about Justin's life here was horrid! This was The Breeders way to add a more dramatic twist to her lies! ** At which time he was relinquished back to us. **I find that The Breeder's use of this word is intended to make people think we didn't want Justin anymore. That is NOT at ALL true! We wanted to keep Justin very much; we just wanted to neuter him! Relinquished means to give up or abandon, we did not choose either of those things nor would we ever. We thought long and hard before returning Justin to his breeder. We honestly thought we were doing the right thing, but like they say hind site is 20/20 ** Those 8 months are in his past (Even tho at times, they linger even now....and he remembers....sadly.) ** Again The Breeder is using wording for a more dramatic twist. What is lingering, that fact that he slept in our bed, snuggled on the couch with us, went to the park with us? What is he remembering, how much we loved him? ** 25 pounds+ heavier, ** From what weight? And is this as an adult or puppy? Is this mature or still immature? ** beautiful and healthy **He was here too! ** , he built back his muscles ** He never lost it; he was an immature growing PUPPY! The pictures show his fully healthy body and muscles tone for his age! ** , got lots of exercise & nutrition ** As he did here, the pictures show that, not the Breeder's photo-shopped job or distortion to get the angle she wants, my pictures are the TRUE him! ** , he moved beyond those months of his young life where he was so badly neglected and mistreated ** Badly neglected and mistreated?!? Not even close, you can ask anyone that knows me that would NEVER happen in my home. Justin was loved and cared for with everything we have to give! We can offer references to the care we give ALL our dogs by very reputable and known people in this breed, if anyone needs them! ALSO if he was so badly neglected and mistreated, why wouldn't The Breeder's Husband have taken Justin when he was HERE in Ohio to visit on his way through?? The Breeder's Husband is/was a truck driver and was going through Ohio with a load and we met him at a truck stop/rest area in New Philly WITH Justin and one of our bitches, Chica. The Breeder's Husband played and took lots of pictures of both dogs as well as had breakfast with us… He even paid for ours… and for doing so we bought The Breeder's Husband a hat (he collects them) from the gift shop. So you tell me, if Justin was so bad off why would The Breeder's Husband, 1st lets us keep Justin and 2nd pay for our breakfast out of kindness?? ** ". January 2008, Shortly after being relinquished **Again didn't relinquish anything we decided to return Justin, thinking we was doing the right thing!** just prior to Christmas 2007. Justin's forward progress, since he was taken back from his unnacceptable placement in Massillon, Ohio, was maticulously photo-documented. ** Really? Yet she only has 1 full photo and 1 cropped photo? I put up 19 photos of Justin to show him from all sides and that's not even a third of the photos I have, to prove ALL of this wrong!** ~We all watched the miracle unfold **What miracle, that he "matured" in to age? ** ~ And it WAS a MIRACLE......that he WAS SAVED, that it was not TOO LATE, and that he RECOVERED. **A Miracle, he was saved, not too late and that he recovered?? From what, her lies? She wants everyone to think he was on deaths door, does any of those photos (hers or mine) look like he's on death door and that he was saved from it!?!** 11 Days after Relinquishment (AFTER being properly fed for those 11 days) **(Insert Photo of Justin Standing by himself here). Now this photo blows my mind as to what she will "say" about him, if you look at everything she says there is NO WAY a dog can return to looking like he does in that photo in 11 days!** To the left is a dog who is NOT really considered to be "skinny". ** Because he wasn't and she couldn't say he was, because people have eyes and can see for themselves** But taking a closer look, **Well let's see a closer look!** you will see (even after nearly 2 weeks of proper care, feeding and treatment) NO muscles, NO fill, NO substance. **Are we all looking at the same photo??? To any "normal" person looking at that photo, you will see a GROWING Young Dog! With the "meticulous" photo - documenting I would think they would have been her big "bang" where are the photos of what she is talking about?** Even his face and cheeks were caved. **Really, where are the photos of this?** He was "on the brink". ** of what?? ** Tail was NEVER up, ears were flopping , eyes were vacant. **Tail was always up with me, you can see that from the photos above, Ears stood perfect for me, again seen in the pictures above, eyes were NEVER vacant with me! Do you think maybe all this happened (if even true) with her because of all the stress the poor boy went through, being shipped around from home to home until he was "finally" sent to Missouri?? He went from us, to another woman in Ohio, on the road with his "driver" to a Jr. Handler, to the Breeder THEN to Missouri! That's a lot for such a young boy to deal with!! So as you can see she didn't even have him 11 days after we gave him to the other women in Ohio!! ** He had no depth to his body **No depth, he was a GROWING puppy boy!** , little tolerance for exercise ** Don't know why that would be, while here with me, as you can see, he ran around and played A LOT! ** .....and was in fact (11 days after getting him out of that placement) STILL 23+ POUNDS UNDERWEIGHT! **What weight is she going by to say he is 23+ pounds underweight? We had him for 8 months, so I'm confused as to how she would know he was underweight even a pound, don't you need a starting weight to know if something has lost or gained weight??** **Insert another photo that the Breeder "cropped" just so, instead of showing the FULL view to let us all see him FULLY not having the ligament strength to hold his elbows in place!** This is what the elbow placements looked like in Jan 2008. ** And how they looked while here with me, from very early on, you can see in the photos above, but I didn't CROP them, I let you see the FULL dog! This was why those that "graded" him in Oct. 2007 said he would never finish in THIS AREA!** Poking out, with no muscle or ligament strength to hold them in place. **Really where is the WHOLE picture to show us how he's standing and why it's looking like that. Maybe the jeans you can see right in front of him, so close that his body cast a shadow on it, is in actuality a person, which just might be twisting him in a way to MAKE the elbow "Poke Out" even more then normal?? ** His whole front assembly was loose and wobbly. ** Really, why and how so? Maybe he is GROWING and his front assembly is a little off?? ** ONLY FIVE weeks After being relinquished **Insert another picture from the breeder where he is at a show. 5 weeks is a long time in a dog changing how they look and MATURE out, anyone who shows knows this!** He was, however, still twisting his body at this point, to keep himself from wobbling. ** Really yet she has him at a show? If he was so bad off, why would you take him to a show??** NOTE: We were totally convinced that the placement of this dog with this person was the right thing to do. ** Oh it was, you just couldn't handle the truth of how those in this area didn't think he would finish! I can guarantee this, Justin will never be as loved as much as he was here. You can bet on it!** In retrospect, it's a hard thing to admit being "taken in" by such an accomplished lier ** How did we lie?? We only told her (and they told her) what we was told by people SHE chose to have him graded by** - BUT WE WERE - 100% ** Really??** Had we not been informed by a concerned "hands-on" eye-witness about Justin's rapidly deteriorating condition, we would not have actually known things had gone that extremely DOWNHILL for him. **Oh Really, well who was this "hands-on" person?? I have REAL "hands-on" people that can contest to his wellbeing and health up until his "driver" picked him up! They are not afraid to come forward, unlike her's becasue, if they even exist, they would be telling lies** We will be forever grateful for the information we received, because it spurred us into determined action to gain his IMMEDIATE relinquishment. **Not true, WE decided to RETURN him to his breeder, his Breeder said NOTHING about returning Justin UNTIL we decided to NOT breed our bitch, Chica, to her dog Chase and in that same e-mail we ASKED to neuter Justin and keep him as a pet, per our contract! That is when she wanted Justin back and not a moment before then!** We knew we would do anything within the law **really, you had NO rites to him! We paid for him, Showed him, Owned him for 8 months and had a contract on him! ** to get him out of there and to a safe haven ** Really, 4 homes since mine was a "safe haven" for him?** .....agree to anything, choke on words, whatever...... **Oh yeah agree to send our money back, agree that she wouldn't do what she's doing now on her website, (we knew this would happen as she made a web page about her very own flesh and blood daughter, so we had her sign a contract saying she would not do this, that is why out names are not on her website!) yeah agree to anything and choke on lies, yeah whatever!!** Since these people had not ever paid a dime for him **Not true, we paid $1,550.00 to her by money order on June 27th 2007
- FINALLY -They were offered ONE of two choices...... #1 - An officer of the law at their door with paperwork, or #2 - Relinqush the dog to a reputable person in Ohio who would take him and keep him for us until we could get him to Missouri. **Again NOT true, 1st anyone who knows the laws knows that not only would the police NOT show up because it would be considered a civil matter, but they also could not "make" us return a dog "that we owned" to another state! She would have to go through the courts to do so as well as "prove" her claims and that we breached her contract some how and then you take in, that possession is nine tenths of the law and nope sorry, if we didn't want to return Justin there would have been nothing she could have done!! Call any lawyer, they will tell you this!** After a LOT of argument and "discussion" with the husband **Yep she talked to my husband as I could not deal with her any longer and felt that she was seriously unstable and needed to seek professional help, so my husband took over talking with her!** , and his shocked "discovery" that he had been lied to by his wife and he had not ever paid a penny (yet) for the dog **This is so not true and anyone who wants to ask him personally can feel free to do so!** - and that he did not in fact have ownership of him in any way **again not true, read above!**, he agreed to transport Justin to a designated place where he would hand him over to the person we had arranged to meet him. ** This is true, but WE agreed to return Justin, again thinking it was for the best and the right thing to do, although very sad!! ** Justin needed fresh air **not sure how he didn't have fresh air, unless we live in a domed community, you can clearly see him playing outside in the "fresh air"!!** , lots of exercise **Again refer to the photos, I think he got plenty of exercise.** , proper nutrition (So very necessary for a growing young dog), **Yep got that too, as you can see in the photos he was in great shape!** a more structured environment ** I am at a loss as to this one!** , emotional conditioning **Again not sure what she is meaning by this.** as well as stability and love **Yep he got tones of love and the stability part, again not sure what was not stable about his life with us?** ~ to mature into the beautiful young man you see coming along below in the candid March photos.....** Now this is funny to us as anyone who knows this breeder knows "that" photo is NOT candid! And yes he is "maturing" (she said that right) into a young man!** at just 2 1/2 months post-relinquishment-date ~ **Also that is "totally" a photo-shopped photo, the breeder is "known" for her fantastic work at "making" photos look beautiful! That said, does he look better than the original photo that she has at 11 days after being returned, yes and no, better only because he looks more mature!! He's growing up anyone who knows dogs, can see that!**
KEEP GOING.....IT GETS BETTER. W-A-Y Better.... Some people just have no business having dogs.....when the money and prestige they gain from them is more important than the dogs themselves. Sad, but true. ** This is so true and we are glad she realized that about herself and now no longer breeds Dobermans, shes moved on to Toy Fox Terriers!** That said....... March 2008 READY TO SHOW ..... AND TO WIN! ** 1st off he POINTED with us, so already winning... But it was said more then once, that he would point, just not finish in this area! That said... we are truly so happy that she found someone to show Justin and was able to get him his Championship, so she could have all she wanted from the dog!** Skylocke's Just In A Minute "Justin" Standing Free & Proud On His Road To The Future
After Just 2 1/2 Months of Consistant & Proper Care, Correct Nutrition, lots of Fresh Air & Exercise, and Major Emotional Reconditioning These pictures confirm that this magnificent young Doberman is near to his birthright ** He should be, he's maturing into a dog and not a puppy!** of beauty and health. He's recovered ** Yeah from being moved around to 4 homes after mine, we sincerely hope he's recovered from that!**, and he'll make it now...... And he's AMAZING! **Read above to my comments to all her repeating. We would also like to add that Justin was amazing to us too while he was here with us! And we are further happy that he was able to achieve what she needed and wanted from him!** Champion JUSTIN.....THE SHOW DOG Multi Champion, Multi Group Placer, Multi BIS **(Check Page 2 for Justin's Show record and "breakdown".) This again is awesome news to us, we are very excited for Justin!!!!** Georgia and Justin did it ** Yes she DID! She DID what no one else thought could be done, she got his Championship on him!!** ...... She gave him back his life ** He never lost it!** and he has always given her every ounce of his love and loyalty ** I am sure he does, as he did for us too.**. Not bad for a dog that the original owner in Ohio (pushed to the curb - so to speak **We find this funny, we pushed him to the curb?? How so??**) and loudly proclaimed to anyone who would listen, that he was "just a pet" ** Not true, the only person we told what the people SHE CHOSE to grade him said, was her, until she threw it all over Cyberdobes then yes it was told by us what those had said! Trust me her "story" didn't sit well nor last long on cyberdobes as people got sick of her "changing" story, along with her ever changing website!!! I believe you can look this all up on the cyberdobes archives!**
(which according to my contract and the Breeder, his price was that because she would co-own him until he was finished. Her prices for a show pup, at that time, were
Hmm, then I guess I'm not sure what this WHOLE book of paperwork, VetGen cert, Health certs, Contract etc. is!!!** , and since they had no legal right to keep him **Again not true, read above** , WE PRESSED ON TO GET HIM OUT OF THAT DEPLORABLE SITUATION.**That she did, she pressed "by telling lie after lie" the week before Christmas and did not care about anyone or anything but herself!! Deplorable situation??** ...before it was too late. **Too late for what, that he would be neutered (according to my contract he was to be neutered immediately as soon as someone she chose deemed him not finishable)??** We offered to pay for a flight.......to send money.....pay for their gas,. time and trouble to get him to an airport....pay for a large enough crate...etc, etc **So NOT true, she offered to pay for nothing, it even states in our contract that we are responsible for his return!**. All offers were flatly refused with a plethora of excuses. **Why would we flatly refuse for her to pay for his return?? That is just crazy to me to think anyone would refuse the breeder paying for the return of a puppy, now dog where the flight would be a higher expense as it goes by weight!!** |
